10. In order to weigh a road vehicle or combination of road vehicles with one of the multiple-platform weigh scales listed in Schedule III, the operator shall:

(1)  have the road vehicle or combination of road vehicles move forward so that all its axles are supported by the platforms of the scale and so that only the axles of the same category of axle are supported by the same platform;

(2)  have the road vehicle or combination of road vehicles come to a complete stop;

(3)  take the reading of the mass on the dials of the platforms of the scale or on the display.

The axle load shall be determined by the reading taken in conformity with subparagraph 3 on the dial of the platform used to weigh the category of axle or by the sum of the readings taken on the dials of the platforms used to weigh that category of axle.
